You know that thing your guest said that would make a perfect clip? The one you'd have to scrub through 90 minutes to find? Yeah, that takes about 3 seconds now.
Type what you remember. Get the timestamp. Done.
Every episode is full of moments waiting to be clipped. That hot take that would crush on TikTok? That quote that'd make a perfect carousel? Find them in seconds instead of scrubbing for hours.
Search for topics, pull timestamps, grab the transcript. Your content repurposing workflow just got way faster.
"When did I talk about X?" "Summarize this episode." "Find every time I mentioned that sponsor." The AI's actually read your transcripts, so the answers come from your content, not the internet.
Show notes, clip ideas, fact-checking old episodes. Stuff that used to take an hour takes a few minutes.
Put your library in Dropbox, Google Drive, or any shared folder. Everyone on your team downloads Podscope and points it at the same folder. Done.
Now your producer, editor, and researcher can all search, find clips, and ask questions without pinging you. No per-seat fees.
You're not just transcribing files. You're building a searchable knowledge base that grows with every episode.
Stored on your Mac. Yours forever. Walk away anytime and keep everything.

Yes. Your audio files never leave your Mac. Transcription happens locally using Whisper. The only time data leaves your machine is if you use Pro, and even then, only your text questions go to the cloud, never your audio or transcripts.
MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV, and most common audio/video formats. If you can play it, Podscope can probably transcribe it.
Podscope uses OpenAI's Whisper model, which is highly accurate for clear speech. It handles multiple speakers, accents, and background noise well. For best results, use source audio with minimal background music or crosstalk.
Yes, Podscope requires an internet connection for transcription and AI features. Your audio files stay on your Mac, but processing happens via cloud AI.
You keep everything. Your transcripts, your search index, your entire library stays on your Mac. You go back to Free tier limits (5 episodes, 10 chats/day). No data is lost, ever.
Any Mac with Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, or newer) running macOS 12+. 8GB RAM works fine, 16GB recommended for larger libraries. The app is under 1GB.
